# Tool catalog

> Every tool the AlphaYou MCP servers offer: 19 research tools with no key, and 4 or 9 keyed tools.

There are 2 tool sets. They are different. Pick by how you connect.

The research tools are open to everyone and need no key. A Pro plan does not add to them or change them.

## Research tools (19, no key)

Address: `https://alphayou.net/api/mcp/market`. All tools are read-only.

### Smart money

| Tool | What it answers |

| `get_smart_money` | What Congress, insiders, funds, influencers, government-contract winners and top traders are buying, selling or holding. Filters: `ticker`, `category`, `actor`, `activity` |
| `get_smart_money_overlap` | Where the 6 smart-money views agree or conflict on one US stock. Input: `ticker` |

`category` takes `all`, `funds`, `congress`, `insiders`, `gov-contracts`, `influencers` or `top-traders`. `activity` takes `all`, `buy` or `sell`.

### Companies

| Tool | What it answers |

| `get_company_disclosures` | A US company's recent 8-K filings, with filing dates and SEC links. Input: `ticker` |
| `get_company_earnings` | Company-reported earnings: EPS, revenue, margins, segments and guidance, from stored SEC releases |
| `get_earnings_calendar` | Upcoming company-announced earnings dates, for 1 to 90 days ahead |
| `get_stock_fundamentals` | Revenue, earnings, assets, debt, cash flows and financial statements, from SEC data |
| `get_financial_quality` | Margins and balance-sheet ratios worked out only from matching verified SEC periods |

### Hyperliquid

| `get_hyperliquid_wallets_positions` | Positions of 2 to 5 wallets in one call |
| `compare_hyperliquid_traders` | Compare 2 to 5 wallets side by side, with their losses |
| `get_hyperliquid_activity` | Position changes seen over the last 1 to 168 hours |
| `get_hyperliquid_positioning` | Long and short size and counts for one asset in the tracked group |
| `get_hyperliquid_market_state` | Mark price, 24-hour change, funding, open interest and volume |
| `resolve_hyperliquid_market` | Match a name such as Nvidia or Bitcoin to the right Hyperliquid market |

### Other

### What the research tools are not

* A stock-linked perpetual contract on Hyperliquid is a derivative, not a share.
* A trader's past results do not show what a follower would earn.
* No stock quotes, analyst consensus, publisher news, saved alerts or personal allocation advice.
* No wallet connection, signing, funding, copy trading or alert creation.

## Keyed tools (4 on Free, 9 on Pro)

These match the REST endpoints. Each call costs the same units as the REST call. See [Plans and limits](https://docs.alphayou.net/api/plans-and-limits.md) for costs and what each plan includes.

| `alphayou_fund_holdings` | Pro | One fund's latest 13F book |
| `alphayou_fund_changes` | Pro | What one fund changed between its last 2 13F filings |
| `alphayou_ticker_holders` | Pro | Which tracked funds hold one stock |
| `alphayou_top_traders` | Pro | Hyperliquid positions in stock-linked contracts held by the top tracked traders |

A Free key that calls a Pro tool gets a `403`. See [Errors](https://docs.alphayou.net/api/errors.md).

## Learn the exact inputs

Ask the server. Do not guess tool inputs. Any MCP app does this for you. With your own code, send `tools/list` to the server and read each tool's input schema. Listing costs nothing.
